...there's nothing better (as a kid) than a run through a sprinkler. And Hayden loved every minute of it.

That Laugh....
I love to capture his laugh on camera because it only lasts such a short while until the voice changes. Disclaimer: He did bump his head at the end of this clip, but he was fine for all you worriers out there.

I just thought these were cute...
We're gearing up for an exciting weekend packed with an anniversary party, a 1st birthday party, a 30th birthday party, and visitors by the pool. I thought I'd post an early picture in case I don't have a chance during this weekend's whirlwind of events. Enjoy! P.S. When I ask Hayden, "where's the baby?" He points directly to my belly. Its so cute.

Father's Day
Today we had our annual boondoggle known as the Father's Day Cookout with the Pittler's, the Nordhoff's, and the Dutton's. Hayden started the day by making breakfast in bed for Daddy before he played tennis. Then, Hayden gave Daddy all of his gifts and a card which he signed himself. The family came over and we (ok, Steve) grilled and swam in the pool while the golf addicts watched the US Open. It was a great day had by all. Here are some pics of Hayden with Daddy and the Grandparents.

The Host With the Most
Today Hayden hosted a few of his buddies for a pool playdate, fully equipped with pizza, lemonade, sippy cups, and pasta salad. Gracing us with their presence were Addison and Mommy, Tina, Mitchell with very pregnant Mommy, Kim, Sydney with her Mommy, Karen, and Allie and Baby Jay with their Mommy, Lexie. It was a lot of fun on a beautiful day.

A Memorable Memorial Day Weekend
This weekend we went to the beach with Nana, Grandfred, Uncle Kurt and Aunt Meg. Hayden had so much fun playing in the sand and he wouldn't stop bee-lining for the water...yikes!!! Steve and I got to meet up with our builder of 4 Indian St. who took us up on a cherry picker to see the view from the rooftop deck of our future beach house. The views of the ocean were spectacular and made us even more excited for this project to be completed. After a busy Saturday, we had a crabfeast and Hayden wasn't so sure what to make of the crabs, but certainly loved the beer bottle. Again...yikes!! We celebrated Daddy's birthday with cake and ice cream, followed by a night in the hospital because I (Katie) had either food poisoning or a bad stomach bug that needed to be treated with IV fluids for the baby's sake. Quite an exciting weekend. Everyone made it back in one piece and I'm feeling much better, so all is well. We're looking forward to getting back to Bethany in a few weeks for some more R & R.
