Big Milestones!

Its been a BIG weekend around the Pittler house. Hayden spent the last nap in his crib on Friday as his "big boy bed" was delivered Friday night. He is so excited to be in his new bed and (fingers crossed) he's had 2 really great nights of sleep in it too. (Mommy and Daddy, not so much due to worry over his new found freedom to roam the house unattended under the shroud of night). He has stayed in his bed and calls for us when he wakes up. Hopefully, this will be the norm. And, if that wasn't enough excitement for one weekend, we found our little Kins standing for the first time in her crib Saturday night. She was so proud and we can't believe what a big girl she is. Luckily, we have the camera readily available for moments like this, so we captured it on film. Next step - walking, driving, and dating - oh my!!

Go Ravens....or not.....

Well, we haven't been on a winning streak lately, but at least we can say that the littlest Ravens fans still support their birds. Caw Caw!

"Weeeeeeeeeeee!!!!"

Hayden LOVED the giant hillside slide at Weber's Farm.

"Baby, We Were Born to Ruuuuun..."

Saturday, Steve and I ran the Half Marathon in the Baltimore Running Festival. We finished the race in 1hr 58 minutes and had a great time on the course. Here's a pic before the race. (P.S. It was only 6am, when this photo was taken.) Post-race photos are too scary to share. :-)

More Fun at the Farm

Belated Blogger....

Ok, so I have to admit, I've been a negligent blogger. Its not that I don't want the memories of my family permanently encapsulated within the infinite galaxy of the "Blogosphere," but rather the Pittler Clan has been more than busy and back-to-school nights, fundraising meetings, ear infections, field trips, doctor's appointments, Jewish holidays, colds, non-profit organization meetings, a Baptism, trips to and from Bethany Beach, a Baby Naming, training for a marathon, and a partridge in a pear tree, have kept me from my diligent blogging. I feel it is my duty, as CEO of this Family Blog to make you, our loyal readers, up to speed on everything Pittler.

In the past few months, a lot has happened around our house. Steve and I have been training hard for the Baltimore half marathon on October 10th. With the cooler weather and shorter days, we are finding it more difficult to fit in our runs, but we manage with the help of the double jogging stroller, an abundance of Goldfish in snack cups, whichever toy is the flavor of the day, and copious amounts of apple juice in sippy cups. And that is just to keep Hayden happy for 45 minutes. School has started for Hayden and he couldn't be happier. His teachers - Miss Sarah, Miss Caroline, and Miss Alissa adore him and from the conversations he has via dead cell phone to them - we know the feeling is mutual. I, again, am the room mother for Room 4, which means I organize class parties, manage volunteers for various tasks, organize social outings with parents, and field any complaints or concerns regarding the class. Along with that, I am one of the co-chairs of the annual St. Paul's Bull Roast and Silent Auction fundraiser and my job is to secure procurements for the event as well as provide the entertainment. And if that wasn't enough, I joined the Junior League of Baltimore in September which is a non-profit women's organization. I am enjoying it thus far and feel great about giving back to community.

Steve is busy at work, training and running, and somehow finds time to fit in his regular tennis game as well as golf once in a while. We have also been focusing a lot of our attention on the impending completion of our house in Bethany and we are looking towards a moving date at the end of November - but not sure of what year. :-)

Hayden will be 3 in February, but by the way he sounds, you would think he was 33. He is really into anything involving trucks and loves riding his new motorcycle on the driveway. His favorite phrases are, (With fake cell phone up to his ear) "Hey, (insert name - most of the time its Katka) what's going on? Nothin'? Really? Ok. Bye." "Nevermind, Mommy!" "I want to ride my moto-cycle." And my personal favorite, "Mommy has a big butt!" He truly is quite a character and has me in hysterics everyday over his verbal prowess. My sweet, sweet Kinsley is almost 10 months and boy, did we hit the jackpot with her. She couldn't be any easier and more laid back. Although, I am afraid I may jinx myself and get paid back when she hits puberty. She is crawling all over the place, pulling herself up, claps her hands, waves bye bye, and says "Ma-ma", "Da-da", and "Hi." We recently had her baptized in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends and she was named Faygie Ruchel last week in a Jewish Baby Naming ceremony, which was elegant, intimate, and very meaningful as she was named after her late Great Grandmother, Fannie. We don't think our kids will be confused, we just know that they'll have all of their bases covered.

We sure have had a lot go on in the past few months, but it keeps our life exciting and we wouldn't have it any other way. I will try to post pictures more frequently as I did create this blog to share events with family and friends as they occur and not as a 3 month collective. I hope you enjoy a few photos of the recent weeks and look for more adventures of the Pittlets' as time goes on. Much love to you all!
