Last night, we celebrated Hayden's official birthday with a night out on the town at Ruth's Chris, our favorite place! After a full meal of steak, wine, and lyonnaise potatoes, we headed home for a bath, book, and bedtime.

The Partying Continues.....

Sunday we had Hayden's family Birthday party. He loved all of his wonderful gifts and he especially loved having yellow sugary icing everywhere! Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us!

Spa Day

To kick off Hayden's 1st birthday (week-long) celebration, we had his hair professionally cut and styled. At his request, we went to Cartoon Cuts for a fresh new party do (He thought about getting a shave, but peach fuzz is a good look on him.) Hayden was a big boy sitting on Daddy's lap. After a quick lunch at Chick Fil A, we were off to have his portraits taken.

Got Milk??

We let Hayden try his first sip of whole milk tonight and as you can see he was not liking the white stuff. Guess we'll have to keep trying.

I always imagined it being the other way around, but it looks like I will have to shield poor Bailey from the abuse of a toddler.

I've never done this before....

Hayden had no clue what to do as Happy Birthday was sung and a cupcake was placed in front of him. Well, I guess this IS his first time, after all.

He's my little deuce coupe.....

After sleeping off the party fun, Hayden went out for a Sunday spin in his new little Tot Rod. At 2mph, he's hell on wheels! Keep your small children and pets indoors!

Let the games begin.....

Today marked the first party of Hayden's month-long 1st birthday celebration. It was hosted by Kelly, Brian, and Eryn Balchunas, and what an event it was! With glitter and icing on his face, Hayden loved seeing all of his buddies and celebrating with them as they ate cake and toasted bottles of the finest organic whole milk. As you can see, the "Too Much Sugar" monster caught Hayden in the end and we had to make a vociferous exit for a nap.
